Final Report on Best Practices for Youth in Agriculture

Abstract

This Report seeks to present the findings of a study of Youth involvement in Agriculture and Rural Development in Barbados, Grenada and Saint Lucia. The main purpose of the study is to provide a synopsis of the situation in each island, to outline the existing initiatives and best practices and to propose a programme of possible interventions in the respective states surveyed and possibly others in the Caribbean. The study was commissioned and funded by the Caribbean Regional Unit for Technical ssistance (CARUTA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). However, the views expressed herein are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the donor agencies supporting the activity.
