Empowering Youth Through National Youth Policies

Abstract

This publication was developed to support national authorities in formulating and developing a national youth policy to adequately respond to young people's needs and concerns and to promote substantial youth participation and integration in social development. The publication is aimed at national decision-makers and diverse actors of civil society as a conceptual, methodological and practical tool in formulating, implementing and evaluating a viable national youth policy in active partnership with young people. Developed in close cooperation with UNESCO field offices and institutes, the publication features examples drawn from all regions of the world and particularly highlights UNESCO's approach and best practices.
