Assessment of National Youth Policies for Further Implementation of the World Programme of Action for Youth to the Year 2000 and Beyond The paper below reviews the available information on the experience in the formulation and implementation of youth policies in the region and draws lessons for the development of more effective youth policies in the coming years. It served as a background paper for the Second Asia-Pacific Intergovernmental Meeting on HRD for Youth in Bangkok from 1 to 5 June 1998.
